Quick post - I'm Gone With the Wind

Just checking in.

You may have noticed my one week break has lasted a month. I never should have planned to post in the weeks before the wedding, I was way too wrapped up in the preparations.

I planned to do a post all about the wedding, which was on May 26, but everything changed on the 27th when our area was hit by multiple tornadoes. (I just got back online yesterday.)

Our home escaped damage but many of our neighbors were not so blessed. I'm the volunteer coordinator for our church disaster response team, so my time has been focused in that direction, but I hope to get a post up soon. It should be an interesting mixture of wedding and tornado recovery.

I hope you'll come by then.

Prayers for all those effected are greatly appreciated.

LD

As I always say: "Why take a week off when you can take a month off."

Actually I've never said it and I'd never want to extend a break period because of tornadoes. Wishing you well.

Oh, gosh, so sorry to hear about the tornadoes! Glad your home didn't end up getting damaged, at the very least. Hope recovery has been going well over there!

Definitely prayers ... well I'm glad the wedding wasn't affected ... but any tornado is awful, more than one so so dangerous. I know you're out there helping those affected ... and I'm way late - but my thoughts are with you - Hilary
