Grumpy Hump Day

Happy Hump Day - Sort of...

I'm wrestling with Internet issues today. One of my email accounts appears to have been hacked and is sending bogus email in my name. And Google, in its infinite wisdom, has decided I need protection from Spam comments, even though I keep telling them I don't.

If you're kind enough to leave me a comment, you'll probably see that annoying "prove you're not a robot" verification. This is NOT my idea. I've re-set the Word Verification to off until I'm blue in the face and I can't make that thing go away. If anyone has any helpful hints for me, please share.

Since words are giving me so much trouble today, this post is going to be light on text and heavy on pictures. Hopefully ones that make you laugh.

This one just tickled me.

You've got to give him credit for trying.

Have you ever been in this position?

At least he came back to check.

This looks exactly like my son's dog.

And that sounds like an excuse he'd use too.
(If he could talk, of course.)

While we're thinking of Christmas, how true is this?

Yeah, you know you do it.

If you're a writer, or know a writer, here's a great Christmas idea.

Well, why not? Everyone reads in there.

Time for your weekly "aw". I was thinking of using another family picture this week but then I came across this one. It was just made for a good "aw".

Don't you agree?

So here we are - over the hump for this week and just two weeks away from Christmas.

If you're responsible for holiday decorating, shopping, wrapping, entertaining, etc., you're probably screaming for time to slow down.
Here's a tip.
Find your inner child. The next two weeks will drag on forever.

I'm off to go wrestle with Blogger and my email.
Have a great week and an ever better weekend. See you next Wednesday.

The word verification is on pop up comment boxes. I switched mine to imbedded and it went away.
Yes, it is fun to bonk someone on the head with an empty tube. Right after you blow in it, of course.

Alex - I've always used the pop up comment box and never had this problem, but I'll try switching to imbedded. Thanks.

Re: verification
Don't fret about the verification. It's just a glitch. I did several comments without doing the verification and it went through. I don't like the embedded comment box (it's prevented me from commenting on blogs in the past) so I'm sticking to what I've got.

Re: email
It must be going around. I had a hellish time with my email last week to the point I couldn't even open it to fix the errors. It took a smarter person than me to help me fix it from the inside.

Re: border collie and tree
Greg sent me this. It was a little too close to home. :) Thankfully, Nana has been kind enough to let our tree live.

The dog on that picture also looks just like Matt's dog Buster. Luckily, he hasn't gone after their tree either.

Love the kid on the swing with the cat. What a patient cat. LOL

Google decided I needed a capcha thingy on my blog, too, but at least it is something that is legible. Not those pretend letters that were so hard to decipher it could take three tries or more to post a comment on a blog. I finally stopped trying to comment on blogs that had those.

Thanks for the laughs as usual. I don't know why word verification popped up on everyone's blogger. Been trying to get rid of it too.

Same thing is happening to me on my blog. Ugh.

Thanks for the giggles and aws! :)

LD Masterson said...

Exactly. This why I don't want it.

Susan G/K - Nice to know I'm not the only one.

Linda G. - You're welcome. And as I type this on my phone the verification thingy seems to be gone. So confusing.

Seems like Blogger has decided we all need the robot thingy! Drives me nuts too. I'm hoping they get rid of it soon so we can go back to normal. If not I'll try the embedded comments too - but that can make it really slow to load. So annoying!

Love the pics today! The dog with the tree is awesome!

I hope you can sort out your hacked accounts. It has happened to me as well and it's an awful feeling. Wishing you the best and a fantastic Christmas.

That cat on the swing is one patient feline.

Do hackers have nothing better to do with their day?

LD Masterson said...

Jemi - I'm trying this embedded option but I think I like the pop up window better so if Blogger stops messing with us, I'll probably switch back. And, yup, that was my favorite.

Murees - Seems like a lot of us are having issues right now. Thanks so much for the good wishes. And to you, too.

Diane - Maybe the cat likes to swing. (Probably not, huh?) I think hackers should be...never mind. Christmas spirit and all that.

Karen - Well, it's nice to know I'm not alone in this but I don't think any of us needed it. Hopefully Blogger will catch on.

I don't know why your blogger is glitching but I'm glad you've brought us the AWWW!

Susan Flett Swiderski said...

Hmmm, I guess that explains why I've been seeing so much of the "prove you're not a robot" nonsense on blogs recently. For "our own good." Hmmmmph.

I love all your pics, but for some reason the first one of the German shepherd "hiding" behind the roll of toilet paper is my favorite. And, of course, the AWWW picture.

Happy weekend!

At least it will cut back on the spam!

The grandboys have been counting down to Christmas since Halloween, lol

LD Masterson said...

Clarissa - I'd never leave you without your "aw".

Susan F.S. - You just know he thought he was hidden. Poor guy.

Cate - I guess I don't have a big enough following to get a lot of spam. It's never been an issue for me. And I've got counters going here, too. Tis the season.

Donna K. Weaver said...

Thanks for those. You made me smile.

LD Masterson said...

Donna - My pleasure.

I'm practising that dog's expression for when I knock over the Christmas tree :)

LD, as you know I'm also struggling. I can't seem to find the balance. I tried to catch up some yesterday, but didn't (obviously). However, a ton of blogs that never before had the annoying chapca (sp?) word verification feature did... so, I think it's going around!!!

LD Masterson said...

Mike - When you've mastered it, post a photo.

Robin - Yeah, looks like I was one of many. Don't worry about finding your balance during the holidays. Let it come with the new year.

Vanessa - You're welcome. Thanks for stopping by.

HAha! I love these. My favorite is the fainting Christmas tree. That's too funny, LD =-) Thanks for making my day as usual. Hope you have a good week.

Double aws - yes!
I'll keep an eye out for that writer's toilet paper. I imagine it's therapeutic to flush it down.

Have a wonderful season, LD. xo

Stephen Tremp said...

Thanks for the laughs! Hiding behind the TP, not going to work hahaha!

LD Masterson said...

Emilyann - Thanks. You, too.

Robyn - I didn't think of the therapeutic value. Yes, I bet it would be.

Stephen - Gotta give him credit for trying.
