Have you ever noticed that a lot of bloggers like to celebrate the end of the week with a Fun Friday post? I'm one of them. I usually use Friday to share silly pictures or funnies of some sort.
But last week it occurred to me, we don't really need funnies on Friday. Friday is fun all by itself. TGIF and all that. When we really need a laugh is Wednesday. Hump day. That day you have to get through to be on the downhill slope to the weekend.
So I'm making a change. No more Fun Fridays. From now on, I'm doing Happy Hump Days.
To kick things off I'm sharing some signs that made me laugh. I hope they do the same for you.
I really love the last one.
If they gave you a chuckle, leave me a comment. I get really lonesome if no one comments.
I'll be posting on Friday from the Killer Nashville mystery writers' conference. I'm all excited. That reminds me, did I tell you we saw the Pointer Sisters in Vegas last month. They still put on a heck of a show.
Groaner of the Day: Conversation between two friends
Hey, Joe. How's your new pet fish doing? I heard he was really something special.
To tell you the truth, I'm really disappointed in him. The guy who sold him to me said I could teach him to sing like a bird.
You bought a fish because you thought you could teach him to sing like a bird?
Well, yeah. He's a parrot fish.
I hate to tell you this, but while you might be able to teach a parrot bird to sing, you're never going to get anywhere with a parrot fish.
That's what you think. He sings all the time. The thing is, he sings off-key and it's driving me crazy. Do you know how hard it is to tuna fish?

What great signs. I needed to smile, so thank you.
Love the signs. It's hard to select a favorite, I'm torn between the first and the last. LOL Great groaner too. Thanks for the laughs. Hope you have a wonderful time at the Killer Nashville Mystery Writers' Conference.

These signs are hilarious! What a great idea for a Happy Hump day. Goodness knows I could use it :).
I especially like the last sign. Although in my case, I might have to substitute chicken for cat.
Sarita - Always happy to make someone smile.
Mason - Thanks. The one about Noticing the Notice got me, too.
Isis - I think we all neeed a little something to get us over the hump.
Maria - Absolutely. We need to have a sign made to include the attack chickens.
oh man, i read a post yesterday with some awesome signs. I even pinned one on my pinterest board. Let's see if i can find the link...
ahh, here we go
I love the signs, L.D., they made my morning & the groaner was hilarious! I got to say that I love the comment over the attack chicken though. Mine won't attack people though. I (& my youngest daughter) have spoiled ours so badly that, even when they are LOOSE in the yard, they come up to you, expecting to be picked up & loved on... seriously. It's so funny. Even our roosters do it~ we have created pansy chickens. lol
Sarah - Followed your link. Unbelievable.
Christi - I wanted to get a Beware of Dog sign. Even if the only danger was falling over him while he was sleeping.
Christi - Um, do any of your chickens end up as Sunday dinner?
*roll snare drum* for the Groaner then add *shave and a haircut*
That sign about the buy one for the price of two and get the second free...oh my goodness...more people than will admit probably walked away with their two orders of fish and chips thinking they got one heck of a great deal.
You saw the Pointers Sisters? I loved them. I saw them when they were at the peak of their career. Didn't one of the sisters die?
LOL at your groaner.
Hey! Love the signs. My husband is looking at me and wondering why I'm giggling so much. ☺ Found you through Gregg's site, and am looking forward to reading your posts. Happy Wednesday! ☺
I remember when I was in college hump day was very important. Then Thurs. became postmortem hump day. Maybe Tues could be pre-hump day. Is that silly enough? Anyway, I liked the signs and especially the groaner. Thanks for making me laugh!

Angela - You're right. As P.T. Barnum used to say, there's a sucker born every minute.
Dru - I think you're right that one of the original Pointer Sisters passed away. Now it's two of the original sisters and one of their granddaughters. But they still put of one heck of a show. Had people up dancing in the aisles.
Larri - Welcome! Thanks for "Following" me. I've hopped over to your blog and returned the favor. Glad I gave you a giggle today.
Karin - Always make me happy to see your comments.
So we could have pre-pre-hump, them pre-hump, then hump, then post hump, then TGIF! Sounds like a week.
I jumped over from L.Diane Wolfe's blog to read your groaner for the day and wasn't disappointed. I know a good fish story when I hear it.
All of the signs were great and still have me smiling.
