A Hump Day Celebration...and Funnies, Too.

Oh dear, my first Wednesday back and I'm late getting my Hump Day post up. But I have a really good reason. Really.

I had to stay up late last night and see my Red Sox win the American League Division Series. WOO WOO! Now we're on to the AL Championship series.

This could be interesting. The other team in the ALCS will be either the Oakland A's or the Detroit Tigers. My hubby grew up in Detroit.

Yup, it could be a very interesting weekend at our house.

But I digress. You came today for your hump day funnies.

Let's start with a picture.

This is why my furbaby's a dog.

Now some thoughts to ponder...

I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

There is great need for a sarcasm font.

I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save my changes to the 400 page manuscript that I swear I did not make any changes to.

Office titles that make sense:

 Well, don't they?

Okay, I haven't been gone so long that I've forgotten your hump day "aw". This one's kind of a funny but I felt bad for the little guy so it was an "aw" for me.

How about you? A little "aw"?

That's it for today. Did you find a giggle or two to help you over the midweek hump and on the way to the weekend? I hope so.

I'm still making the rounds trying to visit everyone so if I haven't been to your house blog this week, I will be soon.

My Monday post next week may not be up until Tuesday. We're going out of town and I'm not sure I'll be able to post from there. But I have something special to tell you so please look for me.

That little puppy with his head bowed got a huge AW from me. So cute and sad at the same time.

The Quote for Today is hilarious. And also sad...

I say we lobby for a font that is both sarcastic and snarky!
I wonder if dogs can be litter boxed trained?

Thanks for the Wednesday funnies. Always enjoy them!

Regarding baseball: I don't have any favorite teams in the AL (just this one team I hate), but I'm glad the Dodgers beat the Braves and I'm hoping the Pirates beat the Cardinals (I'm sick of seeing them in it). And if I had to choose, I'll root for the Tigers to beat the A's because I saw a Tiger game this year (so I kind of recognize some of the players).

The first one is so like a cat.

I don't follow baseball, but i am happy the Evil Empire (the Yankees) aren't in the playoffs.

I've so missed you and your funnies! Glad you're better and back to blogging. Will be tuning in Tuesday.

Why does Word ask me that? LOL. I hate that.
I'm will Will Rogers, very appropriate for today.

Great, now I really want a sarcasm font! XD

Your funnies always put a smile on my face L.D.

And yes, I AWED.... too cute,,,,

Love the branch manager and his assistant!

Enjoy your weekend.... Looking forward to your news!

Welcome back! You were missed. To the Will Rogers quote, YES. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Robin - Yeah, that's what the puppy did for me. The quote is sadder when you realize Will Rogers said it before the first federal government shutdown.

Alex - Yes! Snarky. I want that font.

Stacy - I gotta ask, who do you hate?

Diane - You may not be a baseball fan but you've got the basics. *Yankee hating grin*

Carol - Thanks. I've missed posting them.

Susan - I think there's a joker in the Microsoft programming group who put that in there to make us crazy. (I used to be a programmer...)

Heather - Oh, so do I.

Michael - I'm glad you like these. Have a great weekend as well.

Kaye - I posted on Facebook a while back about reading some of my parents' letters written while my dad was overseas in WW II. I was struck by how much has changed, and how much hasn't.

That first one about the food immediately made me think of shopping at Costco or other big box stores. We buy those giant cases of food that we get so sick of that we end up throwing a lot out. Two person households should not shop for food at Costco.

These were all good but I especially got a laugh out of the first one and a big aw out of the last. Poor little thing.

Stacy McKitrick said...

Who do I hate? Why, the Yankees, of course! I don't care how many of my cousins are fans, either!

LD Masterson said...

Lee - I hear you on the Costco. We're a two person household, too. The only purchase from there that works for me is wild bird seed. I've got a LOT of feeders in the yard.

mshatch - Didn't you just want to pick him up and tell him it was okay?

Stacy - Yea! I was hoping that was it. Of course, any good Red Sox fan is, by default, a Yankee hater.

That one about Word asking me if I want to save my changes when I know I didn't make any caused me a moment of anxiety. I hate it when that happens. :D

Oh my yes, a sarcasm font is so definitely needed! Fabulous idea. Dwight and Michael need that definition of branch manager, that's for sure.

Yes, a million times yes for the sarcasm font!!! That is a brilliant idea.

No matter when you post this or I finally get a chance to read it, your Hump Day posts are always so funny. I can't decide which photo I love the best, the branch managers or the poor little dog who can't go inside. Hope the coming week is filled with fun and laughter.

I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save my changes to the 400 page manuscript that I swear I did not make any changes to. That happens to me when I've done a word count. I still can't figure out how a word count has made a change that has to be saved - unless they add in a sly, extra word : )

Oh my gosh, is there a lot of tension in your house now for the ALCS? I hope you and your hubby don't come to blows. ;)

Glad to see you back, Linda!

LD Masterson said...

Patricia - Me, too.

Tina - I think the font and the definition could come in handy in a lot of places.

Liz - I liked Alex's suggestion of adding a snarky font as well.

Mason - Thanks, Mason. You, too.

Mike - Ah, and you have to carefully re-read your 400 pages to find it.

Julie - We've both had a win now so we're still speaking to each other. Now we see what Tuesday will bring. And, thanks.
